i think showjumping is fun cos you don't have to plait up if you don't want except if ur doing showing etc. but showing is fun when your into it and compete at a high standered xx

But sometimes you can go miles and then get a fence down so no jump off - i took florence all the way to hickstead and she missed out a jump and was eliminated. Have never done showing, but don't think you can get eliminated!

I love both, but i have to say showing as i love to show off my horse, it shows how well they move and we're off to midlands and county championships this year for showing. ut we are also off to the midlands championships for SJ too so, I LOVE BOTH!! and so does Oliver:bigsmile:

I like them both, though show jumping perhaps more - its what you're into, and i suppose what your horse excels at...

Its wierd though i don't think there are many horses that are really good at both...i suppose i really classy showing horse wouldn't want to go jumping?

Its fun if you can do a bit of everything at summer shows though.

Oh God,, Showing is just about who knows which judge most of the time,, especially at local shows. Once its a bit better standard then it's not as much like that but it usually is about who knows who. Jumping you get excited, if you win, youre a winner, no-one can fix who knocks a pole down and who doesnt =]:wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink:

Showjumping is the one discipline where the horse/pony doesn't get judged on manners/turnout/confirmation/way of going etc. If you know a pole down that's it.

All horses have the same course, same amount of time and same faults, there's no way of being unplaced if your horse has poor confirmation etc!

Showing is unfair IMO, my exracehorse got marked down in a TB class for fired legs!

then dont do a tb class, do an x race horse, or race horse to riding horse class!!
