EQUINE ORGANISATIONS: British eventing v the BSJA
-
I just wanted to say that i think the way british eventing allows everyone to see the full competition records of horses really great, it means you can't hide if you got eliminated at one event and won at the rest - they show all results.
The BSJA does not and is far more cagey, but i want to know if i was buying the whole record. I was thinking about this and thought there are some disadvantages, i suppose it would be more admin for the BSJA and also might make people more cautious about entering their hores and having a go...amongst others.
Also should records be private to the owner, im not sure - its just interesting how the two organisations approach this! -
the BE website is far better than all other equestrian websites because it's so easy to use... bdwp also helps for entries
-
The british eventing site tells you loads and you can find out loads of thing easilt than the BSJA website x
-
yes i agree the BE website is great and if you need to have a quick look at the rule book its all there unlike the BSJA.
i have competed in BSJA (only for 1 year) and BE (2years) and found the atmosphere, organisation, value for money and fun was far better in BE. -
We went showjumping for several years, got hooked, but my husband hardly ever came to watch - said the venues were grotty, and that everyone looked tense & not enough smiling.
-
Haha. There is not nearly enough smiling in show jumping, everyone is so tense particularly between parents and daughters - you wouldn't think they were all voluntarily!!
As for the venues i think variety is huge, kind of pot luck whether you're next to a good one...whilst i suppose venue wise BE does pretty well...
