According to a report in the Daily Telegraph on 4th April the Government are considering introducing a compulsory Registration of all equines and their owners on a Database whcih will cost £10.50 per annum per animal. Have they never heard of their own Passport system which is falling into complete disrepute due to widespread evasion and abuse? Obvously this is just another odious example of a State System which wants everyone tagged and observed and also charges them for the privilege! It is estimated that the new scheme would raise £6,500,000 per annum - probably to help pay for Minister's and Civil Servant's expenses.
