Domino's COPD
We did that for Raven and it REALLY helped him. Domino's actually not that bad (yet)- it's pretty much exercise-induced, and even then it's not alll the time. Did you see Tsun's new pic, by the way?
Re: lameness...
We think that she just sprained something. it was right around the time that we got a TON of rain and it was really slippery out. We gave her some bute for three days and now she is doing much better. about the COPD, I find that soaking Star's hay has made the biggest difference. She is not on any meds or supplements for it but soaking her hay is doing her MAJOR good. You may want to try that with Domino. Put it in a bucket or something for atleast ans hour and then just put it out in the paddock. and it wont hurt the other horses to have wet hay so you dont have to worry about sepparating anybody.
lameness...
Sounds like an abcess, cranbailey. They can be reeeeally uncomfortable... Sometimes they won't even put the foot down. Oh... And on a really really unfortunate note... I think Domino has COPD, too. She's coughing with greater frequency then she ever has before... And it's just my luck. I've already had a COPD horse...
show!
Horse show! I'm missing the club show... It's scheduled for the ONLY DAY ALL YEAR that I absolutely won't be able to come (brother's graduating that day)... GRR!!!!!!!!! It's my favorite show in the world... Definitely the most fun.
My horses are full of problems!!! :P
My other horse Cheyenne has a really bad limp in her front right leg. She is not showing signs of heat or swelling. I dont think it is founder, but to see her walk is horrible. It seems like she is trying to keep as much weight off of it as possible. this morning i went out to give them hay and she was lying down in the paddock. that is not normal for her. Does anyone have any suggestions?
