Space For Horses

Gabi is all about cuddles and being the best standie out there. Sure he dosen't exactly like jumping; well he pretty much despises it. but his perfect in my eyes.

gabi was bought at the sales as a young horse after not being fast enough to make it as a trotter. he was bought by a family who left him in a paddock abandoned for 5ish years, he was on the verge of foundering. gabi was recused by maxine and re-broken. she taught him how to lead, how to be ridden and how to be the best horse ever.

i went to see gabi with having no confidence at all. all we did was walk around for 30minutes; but i was over the moon. he gave me back so much confidence just from walking. we went back a second time and all i did was walking and trotting. the third time we took my instructor and she deemed him healthy, we pretty much cantered non-stop. he was marvalous. and once again i had all of my confidence back.

gabs and i have been through a lot. and although i struggle so much to get him jumping, i would never give him up for the world. he understands about my arthritis, and why sometimes the aids i give aren't exactly spot on, but he does as much as he can to please me. his come along way in the six months i've had him and we are going to continue to soar towards the stars.
