Space For Horses

Gemma was very misunderstood. She was obviously very badly treated wherever she came from, and didn't trust anybody. She had the most horrendous feet when she arrived, she was alsomst cloven hooved. But once you got to know her, she was the sweetest, most loving little person. She tried so hard to understand what was going on, and put everything into her schooling sessions. She had a lovely little jump in her once she'd worked out where her feet were supposed to go, and enjoyed hacking round the park with her friends. She would never have been the quickest pony due to her terrible conformation, but she was definitely getting there in terms of being rideable and manageable, provided you spent enough time with her. She was even starting to let me pick her back feet out, whereas she would have literally kicked your head off if you'd tried when she first came. Unfortunately, she had to go back to Ireland, and suffered a fatal accident in the field. She was my little princess and I loved her to pieces, and I still miss her now.
