Brian is a very pretty, and rather complex young man. He was warned off racing for refusing to start quite a lot towards the end of his career, and sometimes depositing his jockey in the parade ring.

He was given to me by the syndicate that owned him as he no longer had a future in racing, but they needed a home that could handle his 'little tantrums'

2 hard years down the line we are finally getting there and the future looks pretty good for us both now we have learned to trust each other and I know which buttons ''not'' to press !!

Achievements

Some days I feel everything we do is an achievement because he has not been an easy horse - he tends to panic a lot.

In 2006 he won the Champion Ex Racehorse in hand, at Arena UK in Lincoln but I feel that our biggest achievement to date was on 2nd December 2007 when he paraded in a very spooky arena with 5 other ex racehorses, in front of about 200 people, at the Scottish Equestrian Event and he went like a real star and never put a foot wrong. People were saying ''look at him'' but for once it was because he was behaving rather than because he was 'mis behaving'.

Brian has also been used by Top Spec as an advert for their balancer and calmer and how well this can work with ex racehorses, he has been published in 2 magazines, he's my wee star and I love him dearly.

UPDATE 28/01/08 Brian went showjumping for the first time ever on Saturday night, He was AMAZING ! He jumped all the fences in the novice but we were eliminated as I took the wrong course - silly me. We stayed and jumped the novice and went double clear and got 3rd place - I was so delighted with him and he just had a ball bless him.
