Jake arrived on our yard in October 2006 - at 6 years old. We tracked down the breeder plus lady who had him as a 2 year old, & next owner. Jake hunted for two seasons at 4 and 5, with a Master at the South Staffs and started eventing at 5 with Andrea Johnson. So he had a very good upbringing. He's a really laid back fellow, and nice easy ride, for man or girl - safest horse on our yard. He has done a further two seasons hunting with us (Middleton & Bedale), and showjumped occasionally with Sally through the summers, with wins and double clears (BSJA) - just out of Novice with £107, so someone can have fun taking him up through the grades, as he is very scopey and manoevreable and can cover the ground.
Achievements
Jake did one intro, five pre-novices and three novice events as a five year old. As a six year old, he did 1 pre-novice and 9 novice events, and got 5 points - finishing the season with his best ever result - 3 points (4th) in the novice event at Somerford Park. Has loved jumped the huge Middleton hedges with us. Started BSJA 2007 - winning three of his six novice/discovery classes (2nds and 3rds in the others).
