I got him when he was 22 and evented entry to pre-training with him. He had skin cancer before I got him and had already had some surgery to try and get rid of it. It came back and we wouldnt know if it spread to his kidneys until they would start to shut down. So about 5 months after he was retired we put him down. He was a great school master and I wish he could have had a real retirement, but he probably wouldnt have liked to be left behind from the shows anyway.
